boy wonder

I never really liked orange before I had my munchkin. Somehow, things changed and now I absolutely love orange. I got numerous orange shirts as gifts and my boy looks amazing in orange. I even love orange so much that I'm going to paint my living room orange. It's funny how tastes change.

This kit, Wonder by Sweet Digi Scraps, has a lot of orange and I love it! I went through about 4 different kits making this layout before I saw the Wonder kit and thought it was perfect. The template is from Angie Kovacs' A Perfect Trio

There is a photography challenge over at Elemental Scraps that is all about the "rule of thirds" and cropping your photos. These photos needed to be cropped to make them look better. My munchkin was in the middle of each of the photos and it just didn't look good. Putting his face over to one side of the photo made him and the bubbles stand out more.

Splish Splash by Casey Krause

Casey Krause has created an amazing new kit call Splish Splash. (it's here at Pretty Scrappy) She gave me a chance to be on the creative team for this kit and I had a lot of fun doing it! (thanks Casey!) I discovered that I have over 150 bath pictures of my little boy, so I'll be putting the kit to good use. I did a couple of layouts tonight and I already have ideas for 2 more.

There are lots of papers and elements in the kit and 2 cool alphas made of sponges. The alpha is my favorite part of the whole kit!

i heart you

I've recently discovered Inspiration Lane. A lot of the Digital Candy girls moved there and I'm excited to find them somewhere new!

This layout is a scraplift challenge I did. The kit is xoxo by Creations by Rachael. I rotated the page and finally found the perfect kit for that picture.

my boys

I used items from the May Color Play set (search may color play to see all the items) at Elemental Scraps for this layout. The alpha is Bella Gypsy's Barely Stitched. The stitching is from Isabel Mendez's Trouble Maker kit. The papers are Sherri Tierney's All Boy paper set.

This was from a photography challenge. The challenge was to take a picture that had backlighting. This was one of those perfect oppurtunities.

i love trouble :)

This is a layout I did with Isabel Mendez's Troublemaker kit over at Elemental Scraps. It was a scraplift challenge of this layout by daisydil.

It was one of my quickest layouts. Everything just flowed together. I recolored a few of the elements and went with a light background so that the picture would stand out more.

the fairy godmother

A few years ago I dressed up as Cinderella for Halloween and my sis dressed up her two as the fairy godmother and the pumpkin. I didn't get any pics of the three of us because we were in different towns, but my niece thought it was cool that we were all from Cinderella.

I used Sande Krieger's Mary, Mary Quite Contrary for this layout. I found it over at Two Peas in a Bucket. (it's free!)

be merry... or not

This is one of the very first layouts I ever did. I used Cherie Mask's Be Merry kit over a Two Peas in a Bucket. (it's free!)

Digital Candy

The Digital Candy website is shutting down. I have no idea why, but I'm sad to see it go. I've been testing out quite a few different forums and Digital Candy was one of the best.

There's some great sales going on, including a few "Buy My Store" options. Go check it out!

kiss me

This is my favorite picture from my wedding that doesn't include the cute kids.
I used Bella Gypsy's Pear Extraordinaire paper for this. I love the colors of that kit.

This was a journalling challenge over at Elemental Scraps. The challenge required a definition of a word. It fit this picture perfectly!

push start!

Chrissy W sent out this template (which she scraplifted from here) in celebration of National Scrapbooking Day. I used Bella Gypsy's Tomfoolery kit for the layout. For the "push start!" word art, I took Bella Gypsy's All Growed Up alpha and recolored it to match this layout.
